World's Shortest Resume:
Being of the belief that most people are not all that interested in lengthy, self-promoting resumes, I will keep this as brief as possible. If anyone wants to have more detail, please feel free to contact me.
Let's have at it...
Spring 1987: Went to my first Dog Trainer School
April 1987 to August 1990: Trained dogs part time while I was still working as an independent contractor in construction. (Dog Training is a second career for me.)
September 1990 through December1990: I went to my second Dog Trainers School, while at the same time also working as a trainer and a trainer instructor for the same facility.
January 1991 through August 1991: I spent these 8 months in full time apprenticeship with a trainer I respected and sought out. I lived behind the kennels in my travel trailer and managed his 30 dog training kennel while working side by side 7days week for 8 months.
September 1991: I moved back to the east coast, CT, and have been training dogs full time in my own business ever since.
(Please note: In 1996 I bought a home in Norwalk CT, and committed to being here for the long haul. No fly-by-night types here!)
SInce 1987 to the current date: I have also done a modest number of seminars looking to pick up new or different information. Some of the seminar presenters were such people as John Rogerson, 'Job' Michael Evans and others.
Back in 1991: I did a little film and television work in training and handling dogs during the production of the films. (Got a small part in one TV film as a result as well. Played a farmer handling his dog tracking a person's scent down a hillside in a night scene.)
